Autumn High Tea: Open to Members and the Public

This Autumn High Tea is the first High Tea to be offered by the EBHPS.  The Autumn High Tea is open to the public as well as to Society members. As a member, you are more than welcome to attend either one or both teas.  You are encouraged to invite family and friends to the Autumn High Tea scheduled for Saturday, October 28 from 1:00 – 3:00 at Red Men’s Hall.  The cost is $28.

An East Berlin Historical Preservation Society member, Michael J. Hrinyak, will offer a short presentation entitled, “Tea, Trade, Treachery, and Taxes”. This intriguing narrative will be highlighted with pieces from his personal collection which he has acquired over a forty year period.

For reservations, please contact Sharon O’Connell at sharona247@gmail.com or at 717-870-1634.  Leave your name, phone number and the number of guests in your party. E-mail reservations are preferred.  Seating is limited so be sure to place your reservation as early as possible.  Reservations must be received by October 18. Once reservations are made and confirmed, send your check made out to EBHPS to Sharon O’Connell, 240 Third St. Hanover, PA 17331.

High Tea Volunteers Needed

The EBHPS Ways and Means Committee is hosting our first High Tea at Society headquarters this fall. (Please see details in the current publication of the Berlin Informer.  Please Note:  Unfortunately, the Members Only Tea had to be cancelled.) These events provide members with new and different opportunities for volunteerism. The organizers are requesting assistants for the October 28 tea. Volunteer tasks may include serving at tables, arranging food on trays, assuring a constant supply of hot water for filling teapots, and washing dishes. And, of course, all assistants may sample the delicious offerings at the conclusion of the event. DON’T MISS OUT ON THIS OPPORTUNITY TO VOLUNTEER.  CONTACT LUCIA HRINYAK AT 717-630-2468.
